There has been a lot of talk about how "nice" people want the
list to be.. Unfortuantely, I see that we have two camps...One that
is all for saying what they want to say even if they are only joking.
and the other which wants it to be a list of fuzzy bunny rabits..

How about we come somewhere in the middle..

I call it the:

Fuzzy Bunny Commando Options

I think the only time profanity is not a good idea is when flaming.
It makes you look stupid and only gets people angry. Swear all you
want just don't swear at anybody....that way we will be a bit happy.

If you really have to call people names use the SR speak..
you'll get your point across and atleast it will maintain
the list's tone.

On Stuff:

The negative media hype that surrounds roleplaying games
is a problem. I have played roleplayig games for 8
years and have encountered a number of people with
less than gratious opinions of my life style (for that is
what gaming has become)

The best was a high school teacher who started off the first class
saying

"I hope that none of you play roleplaying games because
if you do you are going to hell."

Needless to say I didn't like him much.. Just hope that
the media doesn't look at RPG products soon..
Most of which would probably make gaming illegal
(in the united states at least) Especially since
T$R is coming out with the "COMPLETE GUIDE TO NECROMANCER"
aka 1001 more reasons to think AD&D is Satanic..

PS. I have never worshiped SATAN or any other evil entities
dieties or politicians...

PPS. Cthulhu is real..

It's official. We're all damned.

McCarthyism under roleplayers!

The meida had a big witchhunt on gamers during the early eighties. Does
anyone remember the movie Mazes & Monsters (with Tom "Gump" Hanks)? How
about the uproar of kids playing in the sewers & worshiping Satan? How about
religious extremists saying D&D was Devil worship? The meida tried to
exorcise us once before, and it hasn't worked since.

Mike, TGC (You'll have to get used to my new name Nethicus until I find the
person named GrtCornholio on AOL and kill them)

Oh, this brings up a question I've often wondered about. If the media
thought RPGs were corrupting the nations youth, why didn't they try to stop
William Shatner from putting out an album?
