Well, I have an american mirror for PS '98 up at
http://www2.fortunecity.com/tattooine/replicant/131/index.htm

It's not exactly the fastest site on the planet -- but for high bandwidth
users, it should be much faster than InterWare. If you're on a dialup,
you're probably best off using the InterWare site at
http://www.interware.it/users/adamj

And, err, I'm late for class ;)

Well, the web page explains it, but.. Pocket Secretary '98 is the Win95 and
up Shadowrun program that I've been working on for the past couple months.

Dice, LTG Number Generation, NPC/Spell/Location Databanks, Currency
Converter, and more..

I did a cut and paste on this it works pulled the file down at about
20K/sec

As you said not the fastest thing in the would. Takes about five min at
that
speed much much better than what is basically a dial up speeds that
interware
gives. To folks who are using dial up they won't even notice that
interware is slow
Thanks for taking the time to consider those who have high bandwidth.

For the past couple of days I've been trying to get TSS-06 off Interware,
and now I have to know: does anyone else find it terrifyingly slow too? If
I'm lucky it gets above 1 kB/s, which I could understand if I were using,
say, a 14400 bps modem, but I don't think it's a normal speed for an ISDN
connection... After several minutes of not getting beyond 100 kB I've
given up, so far.

When I connected it was running at 450 b/s, which translated to two
and a half hours. I quickly hit the cancel button. The mirror site
was much faster and only took about seven minutes.

Until Adam posted the URL for the mirror I was going to ask him to just
email it to me.

And it's very nice. Well done Adam.

Except :) Adam, could you add an option for applying the Rule of Six to
one initiative die?

Woo! Compliments! ;)

Hrm. That would require a tiny bit of work. Consider it done in version
'98 1.1.0, which should be out within a couple days.

More of the same it works pretty nice and the speed of the mirror is
much better than interware.

Hmm...I'm reight now D/Ling it (along with the PS98) and got about 5.4k/s.
That's pretty good, keeping in mind that I have two D/L running.
Maybe do a tracert (<-only Microsoft-tool that actually has some use) to
interware and see where the slow node is...
