Subject: PSI: Psionics won't be all powerful

This just occured to me today while I was looking through all my
role-playing stuff for power ideas (I should have a list of powers with
little blurbs explaining, briefly what each is supposed to do by tonight),
Most Psionic powers are going to have to be sustained. Now I'm not saying
that this is bad or anything, just an observation. I mean, reading minds
and stuff will only last as long as the Psionicist is pumping Psionic
Energy into the power. The same with barriers and telekinesis. Just a
little fact for those who are thinking that Psionicists will create
munchkins. The Psionicist is going to be sustaining so many abilities
that it will counteract any problems with powerful abilities.

This is ExactlY why I wanted a system where they had a different pools
they drew energy from. Similer to PSPs in !!&!. I think the damage
drain is a bad idea for psionics.
