I just read _Burning Bright_.

At several points, he mentions not being able to move through wood
(non-living). How does anybody else run this? What is the ruling from the
great ones above (DLoH, et al.)?

Probably, whatever's in the book IS DLoH's answer.

He did write it, afterall...

(Moral of the story: we send him questions, he answers them...then
makes them official...)

I don't know about the DLoH, but the concensus on here is that any once
living and _unproccessed_ material will block astral travel. This means that
unless you go cut down your own trees and saw it yourself to make wood, then
the wood in your buildings will not block astral travel. Treat it like
virgin materials for enchanting, if it wouldn't qualify for the virgin type,
then it won't block astral travel.
