Subject: Question about the Maffia

I seem to have left my Underworld sourcebook somewhere, but I'm unable to
find it right now.

So could anyone help me out with a short overview of the Maffia family in
Seattle?
I'm especially looking for the Sottocapo of Seattle and what position does
he/she really hold?

A stottocapo is one down from a don and set up to be his (or occasionally,
her) successor; like Sonny in The Godfather. The current capo of Seattle is
Don Maurice "the butcher" Bigio, as to who his stottocapo is not talked of
in The Underworld Sourcebook or New Seattle.

The other mafia families include (but are not limited to) The Finnigans with
Donna Rowena O' Malley, her father was the Capo of Settle until the Yaks or
the Bigios had him killed. I don't think she has picked a stottocapo yet,
having only been in charge of the family for 3(?) years.

Then there are the Cairniello family led by "Numbers" Cairniello who is a
bit of a wimp compared to the others. Their operation is held together by
"Fancy Dan" Grizetti who seems the only likely candidate to take over from
Don Cairniello.

Can't you just tell that my games are shaped by the Sopranos :)>

Was it ever explained why there's an Irish Mafia family? it seems strange,
especially since the Irish and Italians _generally_ hate eachother because
they used to occupy the same social niche (poor Catholic ethnic minority, if
you can't get to the ones you hate, hate the ones you're with). Hopefully
the answer doesn't have anything to do with those bloody elves.

It's been that way since the 1930s. Both sides basically wised up and figured
out they profit more by cooperation.
