A friend of mine just tried to get on the list, and he sent the required
message to the server and it didn't work. The server replied saying that it
couldn't find the requested list or something like that. Is there something
wrong?

(Just to clarify - he sent the message using AOL's built in email
manager. He had to put something in the subject field, the email won't send
it without it. In the required space he put in ShadowRN. Sent it off and
within minutes got a reply saying couldn't find the list)

What address did he use?
the correct one is listserv@********.itribe.net

(It has changed several times over the years. The last one was
majordomo@********.itribe.net, and I doubt if that one'll work anymore.)

Also, did he type "subscribe shadowrn" as the body text??

Maybe the listserver's case dependent. If so, use lowercase only.

AH, Chris, tell your friend to do as the RN suggestions are...

In the "Subject" field, simply put in a "space" with the spacebar, and
then
fill in the body of the post as it tells you too.

That's how we did it here...
