I thought them some (although not {yet} defined) Essence Suckers. Their
acting of "drawing he last breath" from dying people roused that idea in
me, and I have to admit I never had any doubts about it (and now?... hm...
no, not even now!)
They were subject to a master creature (I think this doktor, but can't
remember clearly (ouch, what a hangover :-( ) like vampiric pawns are to
a nosferatu. And there are pretty much of 'em, having infiltrated many
institutions (or posing to do so).
As to powers: Well, Essence Drain. Thermographic vision (or was that
red glaze mentioned astral vision, suggesting dual nature?), and maybe
telepatic link to other creatures of their kind (how did they know
when to be where, if not by some kind of link?).
Well... some more info, someone?
