If I remember correctly, hints in the novel 'Worlds Without End' imply
that Hecate is an elf called Aina (i think) who isn't allied to either of
the Tirs.

Scan Paolo's site's links section, and look for a file talking about the
links between ED & SR. There's this great page which has a lot of good
guesses about who the various immortals are, including who Dunky is in ED.

Oh, and now for my 2Y worth.., I reckon Brightlight might well be
Celyedyr, the Great dragon under Caeleon who has his own private matrix
built by Transys Neuronet. What does everyone else think of this theory?

Nope. <BZZZT!!!>
You've been a lovely contestant, but thank you for playing.

Brightlight is an I.E. also called "Leo" or "Leonardo" aka *the*
Leonardo DaVinci aka Thomas Edison aka a bunch o' other people. (Read
"Black Madonna" by C.Sargent & M.Cascoigne" for more info on Leo...)

Dunklezahn was "MountainShadow" (or at least that's the ED word's
translation into English). I can't find the file, but I had a similar
'name-game listing' for several of the Great Dragons, such as Lofwyr &
the one killed, shortly after the Awakening.

IIRC you're right about Hecaté & I don't think we ever figured out who
the Jungle Cat *really* was.

I know there Was a Who's Who list in the Part III of the old FAQ, because I
wrote it..
Check Dvixen's page to see if it's still there, or poke through your back
archives of mail, because you Did save the FAQ, didn't you? ;)

Not there no mo' Fro. (I knew I should'a kept all those old FAQ's...)
It needs to be put back in again IMNTBHO.

I also checked Dvixen's website --"ZIP" there, too!

BUT at Wordman's ShadowFAQ (htp://www.flashpt.com/~lward/ShadowFAQ.html)
I found a link to David R. Henry's discurrion on the Aztlan Sourcebook:

http://www.ntr.net/~kilroy/aztlan.html

This lists page references to plots & behind-the-scenes dealings.
However, Wordman notes that it contains some wrong assumptions, 'cause
it came out before "Threats" was published.

No, Hecate is Shiela Blatavska, founder of the Atlantean Foundation
Aina Dupree was allied with the Dragons, which Hecate was obviously not.

Also, I'd place Brightlight as either Damien Knight or Grace Friel. Damien
Knight seems more plausible given the DeVinci connection.

One final note- does anyone have any idea who the two Otaku are who make
the last few comments about monitoring the conversation.

JC is the only one that hasn't been at least hinted at... The others are
either dragons or immortal elves.

Theory is that Junge Cat is either a Shapeshifter (Though my view is taht
if he is a Shaper, he's not a normal one. After all, that would make him
the only non-immortal in the group) or a Feathered Serpant (Possible, but
the name somehow doesn;t fit).

Nope... Urdli is in no way connected with Amazonia, as it's hinted at that
JC is... He's an Aussie Aborigine immortal elf

Sorry, Brightlight has been revealed, and it's another fucking elf :]

Brightlight is Leonardo Divinci. This was, I believe, revealed in Black
Madonna.

Lady Brane Deigh. Bloody non-celtics, cluttering up the list.

Serves you right for playing AD&D, really.

And anyway, I was kinda attached to my Dragon theory. Prob' because it was
my own, and no-one else ever came up with the same idea. Prob' cause it
was wrong. <sniff>

The moral of the story: I should buy more SR novels. And get to the point
faster in e-mails.

Two issues:
(1) : Clockwork dragon series : any good?
(2) : Alien4 : just returned : good.

Thank you, and goodnight.

IMHO, Lady of the Court was Alachia (the hidden court member with all the
court intrigue backing the bitch up) and Hecate was Aina (as that is how
other's viewed her....the "Outcast Witch").

Except that Lady of the Court came off as naive and, well, young (given
her company), which fits with the description of Lady Brane Deigh, not
Alachia, who is supposed to be cold, cunning and manipulative. The other
members of the forum certainly do not treat Lady of the Court as the Blood
Queen, and she certainly does not come off as such.

Hecate is Shiela Blatavska. This is quite well established. Aina is not an
outsider in the way Shiela Blatavska is. Aina is good friends with
Harlquin, Dunkelzahn and accepted among the immortal Elves of the Tirs.
Shiela, on the other hand, is off on her damned fool crusade to uncover
'Atlantis', making her 'the outcast witch'. Further, the handles chosen by
the members of the forum seem to reflect their real life identities. Thus,
Hecate, being a Greek goddess, would most likely indicate someone of Greek
descent, or heavily involved in Greek mythology, both of which fit with
Shiela Blatavska and not Aina Dupree.
