Anybody want to explain to me the abudance of Decker/Mages? How the heck
could a Decker/Mage possibly exist? Ever read pps 52-53 of Virtual
Realities?

"Active magicians who wish to interface with teh Matrix have a special
problem. A magician's experience and training has molded his mind to think
in a specific manner, a manner radically different than what the Matrix
demands.
.....
There are two ways to handle this, and the GM may choose the method he
prefers.
The first way gives magicians who deck into the Matrix an increase
intheir Matrix-related target numbers equal to their Magic Attribute.
.....
The alternative is that the modifier be equal to the character's
Sorcery Skill Rating.
....."

Sooooo, if I thought that Tailhook's Computer Rating was bad, I'd hate to
see the Computer Rating of a successful Decker/Mage.

Thoughts, opinions, flames?

I seem to have confused a few of you. You see... Tailhook has always dreamed
of being magical, because he thinks mages are cool, altho most of them hate
him. As a matter of fact, Tailhook only *likes* one mage... Now the abundance
of other mages... Maybe they're turtles... I don't know. I haven't been
around when they've been posting, but I do agree with the fact that they
would have major penalites!

wasn't
bad, 'cuz you're in for a surprise... and all you out there who said, "Wait a
minute" when I joked about being magical: I'M NOT A MAGE... IT WAS A JOKE!
Well, there you go...]<<<<<

in'.
I am, yes, a turtle. You think for one minute that I, being a mage, would want
ANY cyberware in me? Sorry but I prefer to have none. I choose to go turtle
for that reason. I like to be able to know what's going on with the rest of the
runners though, so the Matrix is a good place to find out what I need to know.
This, of course, is my situation. What about all you other decker/mages? How
are you using the Matrix?]<<<<<

I grant you is extremely rare. How about a Decker-Mage with
a Multiple Personality Disorder? So that when his mage side
manifests he enters a fugue (sp?) state and wanders to his
hermetic home, but when his decker ego manifests he always finds
his way back to his decker dos?]<<<<<<
