Ok, I have a couple of questions for all the lurkers and posters out there,
email as you see fit:

1. Anyone out there game in the San Diego area? I'm looking for any
advanced players willing to teach some newbies.

2. Anyone out there recommend a good online site to purchase the books?
note: They must ship US Mail (UPS doesn't reach this far)

3. Anyone else have any interesting ideas for runs?
My old GM had a interesting idea. Everyone make up 3 characters and put
them into a pool. Everyone then draws a character from the pool for the
current run. Rule: the same character can't be used twice in a row. I
thought this was more like real shadowrunning, bunch of people that don't
know each other get together and perform the needed task and fade off for
awhile.

It's a nice idea for newbie roleplayers to get to know the game (fi. if
your playing a demo game), but not always the best idea with more
experienced players because they tend to choose a character for the long
run.
I got a player that used to play a great mage character, but when he
wanted to try something different he switched to a decker. It lasted
about 4 sessions before he went back to the mage, a decker just wasn't
like him.
He had difficulties thinking like a decker, in matrix terms, while
playing a magical character seemed like more natural, "logical".

Not necessarily, had a team of players once who played characters that
were all family related. The characters were build up around 2
brothers, a sister and 2 nephews, who had a close relationship and
decided they wanted to join the big leagues and took up shadowrunning.
So they knew each other pretty well and might have had a bit more
team-spirit than some other runners, after all: they were kin.

Just my thoughts,
