Subject: Quickenings and Masking

The thing to remember is that a quickened spell itself can be attacked, but it
can't be used to ground a spell into the mage carrying it like a spell lock can.
If you throw a fireball at a quickened spell hanging next to the mage, the spell
takes all the damage, and there's no flow over to the mage. It's just going
to look a little funny for a non-initiate (apparently) to be carrying a
quickened spell, if the initiate is using masking to hide his auric signature.
