Ok folks, how would you handle this one?

I cast Deathtouch, any force, with a base damage of light.
What, if any, roll is necessary to resist drain? Am I missing something?

I think you would reduce the drain TN by 2 for each level below light.
Its not a printed rule, afaik, but that is how you'd do it during spell
design, which is the basis for the figuring of the drain codes. So you'd
likely have a 2L drain.

Drain for Death Touch is (Drain Level-1). However, according to the
Grimoire, if a DL modifier reduces the Drain below Light, it stays at
Light instead. So, a Death Touch spell at Light damage would cause
(Force/2)L drain.

Sorry, but you don't. You do _in_crease the Drain Target by +2 for every
level over Deadly, but you don't reduce the Drain Target accordingly for
Drain Levels below Light. This is explicitly stated in the Grimoire (at
the very top of page 119). Of course, MITS might change this, but I for
one haven't seen that one yet...
