A little clarification about Quiktek,

He was originally made up under SRI. He was adapted to SRII when
it was released.

And about silver being used in cyberware: look in Shadowtech for a
better explanation of the circuit paths made. I seem to remember
something about complex inlayed chemical paths made by nanites. I
could be wrong, but I don't think mention silver, or any other
metallic conductor. I think it is some sort of non-metallic substance.
And the metallic components: datajack rim, Smartlink induction pad,
etc. are hypo-allergenic. They are Ares Custom and Turbo lines, the
best the little corp. makes. (see my Brand Name Cyberware post).

I do plan to put another post with more Brand Names for Cyberware and
some new Cyber Items. Originally planned for today. But it has been
postponed until next week at the earliest. Sorry CrossFire. The
reason: (Classes, Work, Research, and Have to help my fiance with
wedding plans). I am planning to include some more warranty and
coverage options as well as new cyber items, and packages. Any ideas
you would like put in this post are welcome. Send them to my e-mail
address below.

Gabriel, Don't call me Lefty.

Shadowtech, on the implantation of cyberwear (paraphrased):

There are two kinds of nanites: threaders and coaters. The threader's cell
wall is impregnated with an inorganic conductor (usually gold or platinum).
Once the threaders are lead to the appropriate places, they die, depositing
their conductive material where needed. Then coaters sheath the conduit in
protein.

Now, if silver is the best of the conductors, and is less expensive than
gold, I'd say they'd use it. I mean, you *do* want the best, don't you?

Otherwise a "severe allergy to silver" is meaningless (oh, wow, you can't
wear sterling jewelry).
