It seems to me that if you could get a series of fine-line superconducting
wires wound up into coils and charged (ie - really good capacitors with on/
off switches), you could have a pretty good multiple-shot power system for a
powerful railgun.

If you put explosives in the round, wouldn't the EMPs or inertial shock set
them off? That would be Bad.

I think tugsten carbide would be good.

Yes, detonating the explosive in the warhead while it is in the gun would be
_bad_. However, I am sure the smart folk in corpland could figure out some
way to fix that problem. If not, no real big loss, as even a solid shell would
wreck most targets.

I think tugsten carbide would be good, as some armor-piercing shells are made
out of tc. FUN stuff...I had the opportunity to get my hands on a few .177
pellets made out of tugsten carbide. Very, very nasty for an air rifle. Went
through a 2" wood post.
