seemed to think that it would be possible to create a small scale model.

positive rail

O <=- Projectile (conductive)

negative rail
due to lorentz force the projectile as it contacts the rail
will create 2 currents in opposite direction in the rails that begin at
the source and end at the projectile (on the positive rail and vice
versa on the negative rail) use the right hand rule to figure out the
magnetic fields produced by these will be "into" the screen. next the
current will be accross the projectile, We now have B and I figure out
the force exerted on said mass and you will have the acceleration for
the duration of the rails :-) i was bored in fizzix today alright!! :)
