Yes folks, welcome back at the exciting final to this year's Carpthrowing
Major League, or the Cee Em El as all dedicated fans know it! Just before
the end of the commercial break we had an exciting development, isn't
that right, Bob?
It sure was, Jeff. Totally unexpectedly, Spike, the 29-year-old current
list.member.grumpy, threw a small carp at Gurth, the unofficial Shadowrun
guru, about a comment he made involving tea!
Tea, Bob?
Tea, Jeff. I'm sure most of you remember the dreaded wood... woodch...
wood... -- I can't even get that word out of my mouth, Jeff! Anyway, the
"tea" thread is a bit older but almost as dangerous to mention on the
list, so Spike threw the carp. It wasn't a big one, but it was well aimed.
Unfortunately for Spike, Gurth caught it so Spike doesn't score any points
for this one.
It looks like Gurth is getting ready to throw the carp on, Bob! He's
getting ready to throw...! He's looking for a good candidate...!
He's almost found one...!
Remember that Gurth was really bad at sports in highschool, Jeff!
He throws, and it... OOOOHHHH! That was a lousy throw! I mean REALLY
lousy! Just look at that carp fly, Bob!
I see it, Jeff. It misses all other contestants, but wait! What is it
doing now?
It's doing a Boomerang, Bob! It's coming back to Gurth!
He's spotted it too, Jeff! He's running toward his stairs, but I'm afraid
he's not going to make it! Just a few more steps and he's there!!
