I just got back into SR after a few years and I've been reading some of the
sourcebooks I'd missed. Renraku Arcology: Shutdown was a really
interesting read, but I'm not sure i'd really use much of the material in
it. The whole Deus thing seems a bit too scary and powerful for the
players to want to willingly go up against, but it makes great background.

However, the book is set 4 years ago, and other than a brief mention in M&M
and MITS there realy doesn't seem to be that much more said about the
arcology. It's not mentioned at all in Year Of The Comet (which was also
superb) as far as I can tell. Has the situation progressed at all? I find
it hard to imagine that thing are the same there after 4 years. Surely
Deus must have "used up" all it's captives by now?

Deus is mentioned in reasonable detail in "Matrix" but what you're really
after is "Brainscan" which is the other end of the Archology 'Event'. Oh and
he hasn't "used up" all his captives at the start of that, but they are
starting to get boring.
