how about making the subject line of the faq state importance of reading and
other users to stop b*tching (and taking bandwidth) at people who ask questions
in FAQ. He stated he just got on the list and the FAQ is long, it took me a
couple weeks after first getting on the list to have time to sit down and read
the whole FAQ (admittedly I didn't post until had read it).

Sorry about the flaming, but I have gotten tired of sifting through on average
about 6 posts complaining about someone asking a question that was in the FAQ,
and how the person who didn't read the FAQ is wasting bandwidth (and to the
ones who complain about it -- are you not also wasting bandwidth?).

Climbing off soapbox,
Luc

Thank you. I know it was a mistake for forgetting to read the FAQ, and I
will.

I read the SHADOWRN at work (it is the best time for me) so all my stuff is
here at work. I don't have the luxery to go through a very LONG FAQ at work.
I am sorry, and I will try to do the reading very soon.

What would you want it to say? "READ THIS OR DIE (part 1)" and
"READ THIS OR DIE (part 2)" will just be deleted as flamage or chain
letters or some equally useless crap; the current subject lines, "ShadowRN
Frequently Asked Questions (Part I)" and "ShadowRN Frequently Asked
Questions (Part II)" should be enough for most people.

Yes, 'tis true, both are. The more blantanly obvious RTDF
responses I sent privately; the only reason to respond on the list is to
make sure that others know it's already been answered.
My suggestion is to just ignore these kinds of things as much as
you can -- Robert Hayden and I will answer 'em, and Doctor Doom will take
care of the worst offenders. *obviously faked evil laugh*

Not at AT&T. I am lucky to get a smoke break (if I smoked). I have cot in my
cube and I pound keys at this keyboard for 23 hrs. a day. :-{)
