On Replicants:

Lots of discussion has been going on concerning how to give these things
any thoughts, skills, etc. Well, if you will turn to page 47 of Shadowbeat,
I think I have found what could be the answer. For those of you who don't
have Shadowbeat, or don't have it with you, I am refering to a section
called 'Event Programming'. This is a form of brainwashing that can occur
in SR. Now, I will be the first to admit that we aren't talking about
brainwashing, we are talking about giving a 'blank' replicant some brain
power. Well, I think if you stretch the brainwashing idea out far enough,
you can change it from 'Event Programming' to 'Replicant Programming'.

I just thought i would bring this up to show that there is some basis in
the Shadowrun rules to the idea that you can 'program' a person.

Oh, and for those of you who don't have the book and are wondering how much
you can do to a person using Event Programming, there is NO limit. You can
theoretically erase a person's entire life from age 2 and do it over. Neat
trick, hunh? :-)
