It just looks like someones mailer isn't designed for long discussions and
they can't be arsed to edit the subject line.....

(I added a -Reply to it this time just for the.... fun of it....)

You mean the "-Reply" stuff? Probably somebody using WP Office for
email... it used to do that for me about 2 years ago, when I was still in
college.

Yup, that's me. I've been trying to remember to delete the -Replys since this
came to my attention, but I sometimes forget...

We only use this mailer (it's called groupwise now, same shit different name)
because my company got it free as part of the deal to do Novell/Word Perfects'
voice recognition for them. I thought we had learned our lesson, but then I hear
that we just pulled some sort of similar deal with Microsoft..., why can't we ever
get paid in money?

At least it doen't put "(smtp #<four digits>)" in the subject line like it

did for me (as I recall, Rat's mailer didn't like that :)

It can only be an improvement. I couldn't even quote with the damn thing
unless I first saved the message, then hit "reply" and then loaded in the
saved file again... Yes, that's what the sysadmin recommended to me when I
asked about it.

No, *I* didn't like it. It makes sorting by subjects impossible. It
also violates RFC-822's (the document that describes Arpanet [now
Internet] mail messages) guidelines as to what should go in the Subject:
contents to denote a response.

Why? Why do these companies insist on making MUAs that are broken in
such annoying ways?

Mike... did you ever think of "smuggling" some own mailer on your company's
HD? Something like Eudoro Light or Pegasus Mail? Both are free, take less
then 1MB disk space, are quite user friendly, and available for several
platforms...

It's a bug in the program. The Goglrafrinchans assumed the part that was
intended for another ape-like species. Your basic dangling pointer
mistake.

What, if anything, did Douglas Adams have to say about combat pool,
astrally projecting mages, or any other phenomenon even remotely related to
the world of Shadowrun?
