motorcycle, in an attempt to figure out the appropriate acceleration figure
for turbocharging. (+10 was obviously too much. +1 looks about right for
what I found.) I took the chopper chassis, the gasoline engine, and started
making modifications. (While doing so, I discovered that a bucket seat costs
150kg of load at design time but only 100kg when you install it afterward,
and that you can't fit a bucket seat in a small sidecar.) As I neared
completion, I noticed the point total fell well short of the Honda Viking's
listed total... until, as a final step, I began fitting the Troll
modifications
in. Surprise, surprise! I couldn't find a way that a motorcycle engine can
handle the mass of two Trolls, let alone do so while providing the available
cargo space on a Honda Viking. (You need to add 300kg of load in order to
upgrade from two normal bucket seats to two reinforced bucket seats, and there
aren't any engines that do that.)
Can anyone manage to replicate the Honda Viking's point totals in the design
system? Also, are there any motorcycle riders on the list who would care
to comment on the economy figures given for motorcycles in Rigger 2? I
notice that a lot of the economy figures have gotten a lot worse from
RBB to Rigger 2. I thought that motorcycles got far better mileage than
cars (since there's less mass to move for a given amount of fuel).
