What kindof truth is there to the rumors and statements about a second
edition Rigger Black Book being in the works. A Certain Shadowrun FAQ page
listed it alongside the Australia Sourcebook as an upcoming book. (ofcousre
both were listed for release in 96 so they're info isnt perfect) and I've
heard it mentioned in other places plus someone told me one of the coming
soon things in the beginning of Portrait of a Dragon references the book
and says something like "Riggers need help(Drones drones and more drones)"
Is this in Dunky's book and is that what it's referring to or has this
project(if it was ever considered) been scrapped? Anyone know what's goin
on with this book and if its real and if so when its coming out? FASA Guys?
Anyone? TIA

Hoi Matt Lee... I think you're new here, so Welcome aboard!!!

OK, to answer your questions...

Yes, RBB2.0 will be out probably around September (semi-official release
date from FASAMike), and MAY be previewed at Gen Con this year...

And yes, the reference in Dunky's Will WAS about RBB2.0.

Also, the Australian Sourcebook that you read about isn't going to happen
anytime soon... FASA is planning to get away from the Germany type
Placebooks, and while a sourcebook like this is a possibility still,
nothing is planned for it...

RBB2.0 should include lots of drones, vehicle construction rules (so you
can do more than just modify vehicles:)), and a listing of every vehicle
published by FASA, I think...

This is all Semi-Official at best, thrown together from rumour and hints
dropped by Mike Mulvhill here on the list...

Oh... And Mike says that the cover is fantastic... Not that any of us
have seen it... he was teasing us...:)

And welcome to the list...

They both exist and are on their way.

The Aussie sourcebook is supposedly due out early in '98. Don't know about
RBB II.

As I said in an earlier post, sadly enough the Aussie book may not be
coming out, and I seriously doubt it'll be out in early '98. FASAMike has
pretty much shot that theory down... However (Shameless Plug for Gurth!
:)), the current NERPS project, The Neo-Anarchist's Guide to teh World
(NAGTTW) WILL have an Australian write up done by several of our Australian
friends that are on the NERPS list.

RBB2.0 should be out in September, possibly in August by GenCon...

In response to Bull's commentary on Mike's blurbs, teases, and hints
about RBB 2.0:

Remind me to kneecap Mike when I get the chance. I won't be able to
sleep until September! :)

The RBB2 is supposed to be out in September, AFAIK. I've heard it's also
supposed to be available at GenCon, but i never heard any confirmation on
that (I think it depends on whether or not FASAMike and company have book
finished by then:)
