At the age of almost 350, the old racially segregated South Africa died
today as the first multi-racial elections began. It is suspected that
ANC leader Nelson Mandella will become the country's new president.

This is not a death a mourn.

It is sad that the situation lasted 350 years, but let us be glad
that it is finally over.

(AP) Johannesburg For the first time in South African history, free elections
were held for all people to vote in, blacks and whites. Amazingly enough, all
government officials were re-elected to office.

Heh- you heard it here first... :)

That's odd, considering that the elections run for three days, and the
only people that voted today were those that were older and disabled.

In other words, Matt is full of it.

Lets just hope that their transition into a more democratic government
doesn't go the way that most of the other African nations have.. Through

Actually, I prefer Mountain Dew for late night runs, but that is personal

Dr Pepper?

Six pack?

That's easy. A 12-pack is required for longer than just "late-night"
stuff...

Dr. Pepper is good, but Mountain Dew (a.k.a. bear piss) is the
drink of champions. We _always_ have some there when gaming.

No Mountain Dew or Dr. Pepper for gaming. Mountain Dew has the most
Caffeine on the market.

Because of money and no Dr P on campus (though we have Mountain Dew)
this GM usually makes up a quart of TANG to drink while gaming - and I drink
ALL of it.

I like Adirondak cola (but its only in the triple cities in NY)
(its as good as Coke products and is rather cheap in price)

Actualy, Jolt and Nitro colas are higher (significantly) than Dew
(something like 100mg caffeine/serving for Nitro/Jolt, 65-75mg/serving for
Dew). Read alt.caffeine if you have a newsfeed.

Coke?

Coke certainly isn't as good as CHERRY Coke. And, while they are good
for a change, they certainly aren't as good as a good refreshing can of
Mountain Dew, with the best caffiene/taste ratio in existance...

Real GAMES drink Jolt?

That's pretty interesting. I can just imagine my Shadowrun book grab-
bing a big 2-liter thing of Moutain Dew...

And the reason that real gamers drink Mountain Dew is because it's eas-
ier to find, and it's also got a better taste.

Actually, depends on the concentration. Around 2,500mg of caffeine is the
approximate lethal dose (that's about 70 cans of coke in a /very/ short
timespan).

Ah! the amazing things you learn on alt.drugs.caffeine :).

Heh, this is beginning to sound like a discussion I had at lunch one
day.

I had encountered DMSO in a general type of superstore. Five bucks a bottle.
Grinning I picked it up and noticed the label read 99% pure. Quickly I
put it down and ideas ran through my head.
Back at college my friends and I were discussing exactly how available this
stuff is. And what we could do with some SuperSoaker 50's loaded with
the stuff and other substances. One idea was a depressant in one gun
and the other would contain a stimulant. Other ideas came up with DMSO
and either pop or 'pure' caffeine for that quick buzz. We also discussed the
legal uses of this nice drug. All in all one of the better days at
lunch. (this coming from one who told the Pres. of the college we could
make plastique in the chem. labs....but that's another story.)
