Gee, this is exactly my problem with it.

I would beg to differ. The entire purpose of a ritual circle/medicine lodge is
to contain magical energy that would normally vent out into the ether. I doubt
even the most powerful mage could hold the energy in.

I would have to say no for both. A medicine lodge just plain cannot be moved.
It is linked to the Earth magically. Moving it, or the vehicle it is formed in
would break this link, removing the magic from it. For hermitic circle, I think
that even though hermitics are not as nature minded as shamans that the same
problem would occur. Besides, a ritual circle is just to damn big.
