I am kind'a new to this list and have noticed that most of you know the
rules very well..., I, on-the-other-hand, bought the ShadowRun manual
and Charrette's trilogy at the same time..., read the novels..., and
am only halfway through the rules. Despite this I am playing in two
different ShadowRun games. I guess I am into role playing and not into
rule learning.

I am sending you a copy of one of my character's biography and am
curious as to what stats the "rule savants" might have picked to make
this character come to life.

Huacho (caramba@****.ufl.edu)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pichuleo, a short (5') Mapuche human male with ink-black hair
and emerald-green eyes, has no facial hair apart from his eyebrows
and a few whiskers where his mustache ought to be. His build is
small and wiry and he is always draped in his Araucanian style poncho
(or manta) which extends down to his knees. This poncho conceals a
grungy black turtle neck, a pair of greasy dungarees, an Ares Viper,
a Remington Roomsweeper and a couple of "colocolinas" (knives).

Primarily a small-time businessman, procurer, scam artist,
decker, and gambler; Pichuleo will do anything for a buck! Despite
hiding the truth from most, he is a Rat shaman by vocation and seldom
travels without the company of his "chummer"-- a "wired" black rat
named Raton.

Biography:

Pichuleo was born between the Andes and the Pacific near the
38th parallel of the Southern hemisphere during the same year
Washington State dissolved. He paid for his travel to the CSA by
cheating and stealing and running 'switch and bait' scams such as the
infamous "paquete chileno" and "Chonda-Za." After several years of
errantry, he arrived in Houston a few days after President Alexander
died. It was during his stay in Houston that he met his loyal
companion Raton.

Their meeting was by chance..., Pichuleo was in the process
of purchasing used cyberware on the black market. His contact had
managed to find all the second-hand cyberware Pichuleo had requested,
including the camera for his eyes. The only problem was that the
camera was a prototype still implanted in an unfortunate lab rat the
"cyber-pusher" had in a burlap sack.
Pichuleo was so incensed that he pulled out his Roomsweeper and
"geeked" the merchant and his cohorts, thus saving a few nuyen and his
new friend.

Several days after he paid a "street doc" to implant his "not
so new" cyberware and adjust Raton's camera to transmit, Pichuleo
developed a terrible fever. Seizures followed, and it was during one
of these seizures that the rat called to him. Many have wondered how
one so intrepid and personable was chosen by the Rat..., logic suggests
that Raton had something to do with this. Pichuleo is very secretive
about his vocation, since Mapuche shaman are customarily women.

Whatever you do, never play poker with Pichuleo! Raton's trid
camera makes Pichuleo a "chipped familiar." And..., Raton just loves to
sneak up behind "sharpers" and "scope out" their cards.

Human priority E

OK low body and low strength, with modified armor (secure
poncho 5/3)

>This poncho conceals a grungy black turtle
>neck, a pair of greasy dungarees, an Ares Viper, a
>Remington Roomsweeper and a couple of "colocolinas" (knives).

a couple of weapons (no prob - low money needed)

Well well, lets see a rat shaman huh - a full shaman or a partial...
If you want to be a full shaman priority A, Skills Priority
B,Resources C
Attributes D (sucky starting attributes but i'll get better)
add a datajack, the transmition receiver for Raton's Cyber
eyes, a display link so you can see what raton sees, then buy your
equipment (and any other cyber that might round you out to an
even 5 essence). Use the skills to buy Computer, Stealth, Negotations,
Ettiquitte, Sorcery, Magic Theory, *maybe Conjure*, special Gambling,
firearms, armed combat, buy several contacts a buddy(maybe), a Fixer,
a Armorer,Black Marketeer, etc... Buy a couple of spells, make one
like Mind link Raton, Improved Invis, Mind probe limited distance
(modified from touch), something like charm...

Biography:

There are familiars but I don't know if a starting character would have
enough points to bond one. But if you started friends you could easliy
bond it later.

Interesting character though...

Hope this helps
*an alternate would be to be just a shamatic adept instead of a
full shaman.
Thanks Gary C.
