thanks, and also to you.
[snip... VR2.0 question and a suggestion for a flamer (yes! FIRE!)]

I am something of a ham at heart, so as a player, i always throw m
myself into the role as much as possible (short of disrupting the
room's furnishings). Mark me a four out of five. As a GM, however, i
find it very draining to maintain a whole menagerie of characters- there
are usually two or three in my "stable" that stand out for the players
(the lowlife alcoholic sorcery adept is one I remember very well...)- so
mark me a three on that one. From conversations I've had, this seems to
be a reasonably common GM thing- sometimes it's really hard to balance
rules, plotlines and the wacky things players do to torpedo the rules and
plotlines with good old fashioned role-playing...
(this all from a GM who prefers the lack of responsibility, and the
focus that comes from being, quite simply, a player...)
Speaking of playing- your question #3 was about how often one plays (or
#2?)... I recently moved from my previous place of residence to my
current home, and haven't had any luck finding players (or GMs).
[irony mode on]Forgive me DLOH, my last game was August 1995. [irony off :)]
I look forward to the spring, when the Michigan Con scene picks up
tremendously...
Just my words and thoughts (no deeds today...)
Jason
