Actually, we have a player who hit upon a similar idea, if on a much lower
order of magnitude.
Within our present group, we have a Rigger/Technomancer (who, by his own
admission, leans decidedly towards the Rigger end of this continuum) who has a
decidedly unusal bit of neckwear: A necktie fabricated from ruthenium polymers
connected to a concealed source of electricity. On the tie's underside are
three slide switches, for altering the hue, shade, and patterns. His name,
incidentally, derives from this rather unusal fashion statement: DayGlow Blue,
the color he typically selects (although if we are on the way to rendesvous
with a Johnson, we will request that he "mute" his tie, so to speak).
