Well, it could be said that the personal freedom desire created the
dangerousness of the world. Or you could blame it on the Courts for giving
extraterritoriality to the megas. Or the politicians. Don't forget the Wizard's
First Rule. I don't think Terry Goodkind just made it up on the spur of the
moment. It's true. And in 2060, who knows what that stupidity could bring?
Though to answer your question, it'd say personal freedom rules out. I'm hearing
grumbles about the personal freedom and rights, and I doubt the fringe (or even
some of the mainstream) will quiet down and let personal freedom, even for
greater security, be taken away. It's just the pessimist in me, I guess...
