Does anyone know if the book Scars, by Caroline Spector is out. I tried to
order it through my local bookstore, but they told me that it was not ready
(ie, hadn't yet been printed). This is the beginning of the series that
takes place in Earthdawn which the Shadowrun novel Worlds Without End
finishes. Is this book actually being written after the final book in the
trilogy, or is my local bookstore crazy?

No, you're not crazy. That's how it works.

Here's the deal, as I understand it. Caroline Spector wrote all 3 novels -
the first two taking place in Earthdawn and the last in Shadowrun. Fasa
had some funky contract with whoever was distributing Earthdawn novels, so
they went ahead and published "Book 3" before 1 & 2. The funkyness got
even more convoluted, and now it'll be a while (dunno when - perhaps a
question someone should ask FasaLou or FasaMike) before the books are
published in America, though they're out in Europe.

I've got a question: Where would the scars be from the implantation of a
simlink and in what shape/pattern would they be?
