Hey All,
I was thinking would it be possible to have a schizophrenic shaman that
has different totems for each personality ? Like for instance a wolf/dove
totem in the same person..... Also I thought that maybe it would be neat
to have a column on the shadowrun website called 'What didn't make it'
this would be things that didn't make it into the different source/rule
books for different reasons like space/time etc etc

You're actually thinking of Multpile Personality Disorder. A schizophrenic
shaman would be prone to auditory/visual/tactile hallucinations (which
could be interesting in an of itself...hmmm...), or catatonic (which
wouldn't be very much use to a group of runners) or paranoid (which would
be very useful to a group of runners, unless they made him mad...).

You'd have to have a dominant personality, and a few
subpersonalities. Depending on how in-depth you want to get, you might
want to have different charisma and willpower scores for each "character",
with the dominant personality having a higher willpower than the
others. Just remember, your character has MPD for a reason, so you can't
really play him like a "normal" character...and you'd have to work out a
system for the GM to tell you when you're "switching" (in times of high
stress, which could be inconvenient... ;)

I think that it would be an acceptable character, but you're probably
thinking (as has been pointed out) of multiple personality disorder, rather
than schizophrenia. Physical attributes would remain unchanged, but I could
see reasonable argument for having different mental attributes. Skills and
other abilities (like magic, etc) would be subject to change, too, if you
want to get extreme. It might make for a fun, "confused" shaman who was
being tugged at by more than one totem at the same time ;-).

Various SR authors sometimes post "bits that missed out" either to their web
pages, or on here, but to the best of my knowledge, there is no collation of
such things (perhaps because quite often such material contradicts what was
published, and is thus less useful).
