What an ORIGINAL handle...(as I severly doubt that you are the owner of
whatever inspired the character)..

No offence but if every one used the name of thier favorite SR character
the net would be just RIFE with "Ghost"s, "Dodger"s, (well, there
already
is a Fastjack, and I think I've seen a few others) and every other famous
SR persona..

Ever notice in the Fantasy sites the number of plagarized names and
handles...

Sure I guess its "cool" or something, but please, show a little
imagination. I have/had one player who took every character he played
from some book or novel he'd just read (name and everything)..It got old
REAL fast.

Sure we all pirate software and drek like that, but don't pirate someones
NAME...Is nothing sacred. That little guidline about not posting with
someone elses name should almost apply.

One last thing, I liked someone who can't comeup with an original name to
people who say F--k every other word..they apparently don't seem to have
enough up-stairs to comeup with something intelligent to say...

(Zim gets down off of his soap box)

-- Oh, by the way, if you DO have a GOOD reason for having "Hatchetman" as
a handle, well then I apologize profusely..otherwise.

-Zim (flames dutifuly accepted)

Just one question.... Are you on this list for some constructive
purpose or just to nitpick? (You must be a pain in the postierior to
play with.....)

nitehawk
(and I earned that handle, "Zim")

I guess you missed the last time we had this discussion, but it really isn't
any of your business to slam a person because they didn't use an "original"
name. I don't believe this really applies to me (I use the handle Canthros
at times because it was the last name of a former SR character of mine), but
I don't think that it's right to slam somebody because they don't measure up
to your personal standards of creativity. I would be very irate if someone
used the handle I reserve for myself, however, since you don't have previous
claim on any of those names, when did it become your place to criticize
others, listmembers or otherwise, over what they use as an alias? To be
honest with you, I don't see it as being worthwhile to even consider slamming
someone over what they use as their handle, if they were to use the name of a
character from a story I had written, I think I might be irate at first, but
I think that then I'd be somewhat flattered, as the saying goes, "imitation
is the sincerest form of flattery". Besides, I have trouble coming up with
names most days, if someone else has the same problem, why should I pick on
them for something I have trouble with? I wouldn't be too worried about it
unless someone with the right to do something about it, like FASAMike, for
instance, takes serious offense at it. Until then, it's none of my business.
