I've sent a dozen scenarios in to Tom Dowd, all based in Davidsford, trying
to expand the SR universe beyond Seattle. I keep hoping he'l start buying
them, and eventually work up to a Confederacy sourcebook.

Hear Hear! How about a sourcebook for the Carribean States? Or maybe
Aztlan? Or atleast start moving the base of ALL THE FRAGGIN' MODULES from
Seattle to say, Denver, NYC, Chicago, Davisford, Orlando(I live in Tampa
so I vote for this one.), or any of a hundred other cities. There is more
in the world than Seattle so let's have more in the Shadowrun than Seattle.

All of the above is IMHO.

I place almost all of my adventures in Chicago. I think it is a much
neater town, and it doesn't rain 10 months out of the year :)

Hi,
I am Gm'ing a Shadow Run game and am looking for some background
material on Seattle. More specifically some decent MAPS. (Quiet whisper, "I
hate
to say this but the Seattle sourcebook did not have any good maps"). Hate to
think what nasty responses I will get to that.
Any ideas where I can find any? I have tried local bookshops in
Edinburgh,
United Kingdom (you know where I stay) but to no avail.

While on the subject, where can I find internet maps
of Antartica?

I've tried the xerox site, but i can't rotate the globe
in a way that antartica is fully covered. Also satellite
maps will be nice.

Thanks, Paolo

I am not aware of any Internet maps, but go to your local library and
search there. Most of the maps I've seen are good enough for adventuring.
I can recommend a book on Antarctica published by Reader's Digest. It
contains enough information to get you started.

I got some cool maps and info from the Seattle Chamber of Commerse...but that
you require writing to them snail mail...I don't know if that is what you want
to do...but if so I can mail you the address if you would like. They shipped
me a whole package full of stuff...

Food for thought...

I'd suggest finding a map speciality store. Then just buy a
tourist guide or set of maps from there.

BTW, does anyone have any suggestions about where to find a video
travelogue on Seattle? Or can anyone recommend movies set there,
that show you a lot of Seattle?

Mildly OT, but are there any other people from the Seattle area on here?
Private email would probably be the most wise. Thanks.

Sorry about this folks, but I tried to send this off list, but got rejected.
:(

I live in the Greater Seattle area, in a city called Renton, just south of
Seattle itself. One of the closet except Bellevue.
