I am sure you will all know soon.

My office in Oregon just trembled.

It is a 6.2 earthquake in Seattle.

I think Daniel Howling Coyote started early.

Either that or Satan just took Bill Gates' soul finally.

It lasted a long time, too. Felt it here in Victoria, scared the sheep
dip out of my cats. I clocked it at a 55 second quake, and we have had
structural damage. (Ok, so it's a tiny baby crack not even 4 inches
long, but it wasn't there yesterday.) Phone lines downtown were knocked
out for a brief time. (Paolo's parents in Italy heard about the quake
within 15 minutes.)

As if my copmuter room wasn't bad enough before... Now everything fell
over.

Got it here in Vancouver too. Woke me up in the middle of the day when I
realized the bed was shaking harder than if a Semi passed by. No damage by
the looks, though.

6.2. Sheesh, that's getting up there...

On the news stations in Renton/Seattle we're hearing that quake was a 6.8. It
appears to have cracked Olympia's Capitol Dome.

Snipola!

Hey Andrew! Remember what we were doing when the last big (ish) shaker
hit the area?

(We were playing Shadowrun, you freaks, get your minds out of the

Dvixen, I can't help it. My thoughts are deep enough that they have to pass
through the gutter before reaching where they're headed. ;-)

Darn - you americans have all the fun, earthquakes, tornadoes.
We once had a bad storm that blew some trees down. It was quite
exciting, let me tell you. :)

Yes, but at least our food is edible and tastes that way. And doesn't make
holes in your brain, either...;)

Your almost more true than you think. Bill Gates was doing a press
conference for a new product when the quake struck. Got some really nice
video footage of everyone running for the door - as if a new MS product
wasn't reason enough - with Bill Gates alone on the stage looking a bit
surprised. ;)

And who says that God/Spirits/Higher Beings/Whatever don't have a sense of
humour. :)

"It's a boy, it's a boy!" And somebody said, "But it hasn't got a
winkle!"
And then I said, "A boy without a winkle? God be praised, it is a miracle. A
boy without a winkle!" And then Sir Thomas More pointed out that a boy
without a winkle is a girl. Anyway, I was really disappointed.
