There's Council Island on Lake Washington (full of Native Americans),
Whidbey Island just off the coast of Everett, Bainbridge Island off
Downtown, Vashon Island and Maury Island off Downtown/Tacoma or Fox
Island off Tacoma, take your pick. They're all equally unpleasant.

Oh, and of course there's McNeil Island, which currently holds a Federal
Prison, or Blake Island (currently a State Park - never know what's
lurking on there).
