I would seriously doubt FASA is going to hand out errata-style
supplement material for free-- it sounds like *everything* you and I
have shelled our hard-earned (stolen, counterfeited, or intercepted)
money out for is going to be equivalent to bird-cage liner; they're
rewriting the system from the ground up. Granted, that's what SHADOWRUN
*needs* but no way are they gonna hand out 100+ pages of free stuff
when they can hardbind it and sell it for $35 a pop. No matter how much
we've supported the game, flaws and all, they're still gonna gouge us
for every dollar (or franc or mark or pound or yen or whatever) they
can 'cause that's the business they're in and loyalty don't count
fer nuthin'. Bet they re-release the Street Samurai, Grimoire, etc.
in "NEW and IMPROVED edition: Compatible with 2nd Edition!" formats
that'd eat another $100+ from my pocket if it wasn't for the fact
that I ain't doing it-- unless the new release material is A) several
orders of magnitude better than the original, B) better proofread and
edited, and C) no more expensive than the original, I'm not sinking
another dime into *this* particular white elephant. My gaming dollar
has better things to do than get spent on more errors, inconsistencies,
and vague generalities.

Shadowrun film? I hope to "Bob" it's animated 'cause if they
think they could pull off a live-action SR film for less than $100 Meg
they're kidding themselves. I mean, we're talking about massive prosthetic
technology, flying dragons through BladeRunner-like sets, and tons of
computer graphics for the net. Throw in ILM visuals for magic, pyro
work for the gunfights and explosions, all the custom-made vehicles....

Never happen, chummers. Besides, if it's scripted at all like
the "Secrets of Power" trilogy, even *animation* won't save it. God,
they need better writers.
