Wow. If every GM gave his world this feel, or even
made new players read a blurb like IronRavens previous
post, I think most players would be too busy trying
to expose the secrets of the 'big badee's' to be
considering earning a few thousand nuyen by raping the
dons kid... or by shoving/mugging/murdering squatters
and nobodies "because you can".
Good point, IronRaven.

Actually, I don't get like that very often, even thought there is a
constant undercurrent in any campaign.
I had been doing conic sections and calculus for two hours whenI wrote
that, and that stuff always makes me more philosphical than normal.

Well, I encourage my players to be as Wolf, Cougar and the other
nighthunter Spirits- in the Darkness dwells Evil. Use the light of your
goodness (and muzzle flashes) to combat them in the Darkness, hunt it on
it's own territory, striking hard and fast, then dissappearing like
avenging spirits, but never drink of the pool of Darkness, never bathe in
it, and never, ever embrace it, never use it's own weapons. Remember that
you live in the light.

To anyone who is SERIOUS about running a group with the Spirits portrayed
well, "Animal-Speak" by Ted Andrews is an excellent buy, but it means
totally (a) banning shamans as a class of magic user in SR, and just using
tribal mages (my choice), or (b) totally designing a new magic system for
them alone.
