It's been a while. Sorry.

I am seeking a volunteer to take over administration duties of my Sixth
World web site (http://pobox.com/~lward/sixthworld/). I will be happy to
continue hosting its pages, if the new admin desires.

There have been a number of new geographically intensive Shadowrun
releases
of late, and Shadows of Europe is on the way. I've lacked the time to
update
the information to include these books. As a new home owner and someone
currently planning a wedding (http://www.divnull.com/lionandbear/), it's
pretty unlikely I'll be able to do the updating myself any time soon.

I had a number of plans for this site. The data entry method has grown
quite
cumbersome lately, so chief on my mind was the translation of all the
data
into database records so that cross-referencing could be done more
easily.
This effort stalled simply because translating all this data to database
records was taking much to long, yet I was unwilling to add more records
until this effort was done. I had intended to throw some code together
to
use Velocity (http://jakarta.apache.org/velocity/) to render data from
the
database. The site would still have been static, but it would have been
scads easier to maintain this way.

Perhaps the new admin will do this, perhaps not; that's up to him or
her.

If you have any interest in taking on this beast, please drop me a
personal
e-mail at sixthworld-AT-divnull-DOT-com. (One note: this job will be
tons
easier on you if you own a Mac, particularly the maps. Proficiency with
Freehand and BBEdit will also help you quite a bit.)

Thanks,
Wordman
