Yah. Not as much recently tho. I need to finish it off. Unfortunately, I
made the mistake of buying this innocuous little deck of cards a couple days
ago at a gaming store. I swore I was never, *EVER* going to buy Magic:The
Gathering. <sigh>

What? They've released a SMEGADRIVE version of it ?
Does this mean that we could expect to see a version of it on other platforms
in the reasonably near future ? (For instance Amiga ? - I'd hate to have to
lower myself to buying a console, just for the sake of getting hold of this
game).

I haven't heard of any ports to any PC machines, and even if it was to be
ported, I'd lay money that it won't be to the Amiga. The SEGA version of
this game is one of the best that I have ever played on a console, but
whatever you do, stay away from the SNES version..

Ah, yes. Those innocuous little cards coated with a mysterious, highly
addictive chemical, forcing the poor addict to buy more cards to feed his habit.
I hear the Betty Ford clinic is opening a special M:TG wing just for these
poor souls.

On Magic...

Well, I was going to resist it too. I was doing a pretty good job,
too, I'd gone for MONTHS while it was being played all around me at school.
I was going to make it (at least until the next DeckMaster game came out).

Then my brother started doing some role-playing.

His first purchase? A deck of Magic cards. I warned him against it...
I told him that he'd get addicted. I told him he'd get ME addicted.

He laughed. They all laughed.

He's addicted now (not too badly, but badly enough). He admitted it.
And he addicted me.

It's all his fault that I succumbed. I was all set to live out my days
never playing the game, but no, he had to start playing.

Now, I'm broke, and addicted, and I can basically only play with my
brother (who sucks).

A suggestion: NEVER touch the things. EVER. It's not worth the drain
on your money.

I have the same problem. A significant portion of the local species
homo sapiens unhygienius play in the union 24/7. Scaree stuff.

SERIOUSLY! My roommate and I each bought a starter pack, saying "It's ok,
it's only one pack each, we'll fiddle with it for awhile and see how it is."

That was 48 hours ago.

I now have 3 starter packs, 6 boosters, and the Player's Guide.

3*$8 + 6*$3 + $8 = $50.

Ouch.

ObSHADOWRN: I forgot, I do have Seattle Sourcebook. Probably ShadowTech
or the Grimoire (if I can find it locally) will be the next purchase. Tnx
for the info.

*argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*
All you people are sick and wrong. My hobby store (1 1/2 hours away)
doesn't carry the cards and I want a set. Badly. Can't be worse
than mudding and that phase lasted a whole three weeks.

Ha!

Not worse than MUDding...that's laugh...

Trust me when I say that it's worse than anything else you've tried
yet. It's MASSIVELY addictive.

I was addicted to MUD. I got a D+ in second sem. Algebra II cuz of it. Also
because the teacher's name is Elizabeth Jockush. I'm serious. We all called
her "th' Itch" or "Ms. Jockitch" or, after we were out of her class,
"Ms.
Jockbitch."

Um, Magic is worse.
