I personally recomend that you take the Whopper over the Big Mac. It has =
44% more beef ya know. ;)

But seriously if you must leave because of the volume of posts sucks too =
much of your time that's fine. Don't leave just because a few people here =
don't like you or your style. While I actually agreed with very little you =
said in your recent flame wars (congratulations on surviving btw) I think =
the folks who reacted so strongly were the ones making most of the =
mistakes. Many of the things you said which they took so much exception to =
came off to me as tounge in cheek. This may not have been your intention =
but that's irelivant. They instantly projected bad intentions onto you =
because they disagreed with you. The easiest way to avoid a Flame war is =
to assume that anything which can possibly be taken as a joke be taken in =
that manner regardless of the intentions of the sender. Even if it can't =
be taken as a joke unless it is blatently offensive assume the sender was =
just not communicating his thoughts clearly. These steps will allow for a =
discussion to be ended with no hard feelings. Most of the Flame wars i =
have seen since I've been here were started because someone assumed that =
someone else was insulting them or putting them down when it is likely =
that they all they intended was to highlight the differences in playing =
styles. If you enjoy Shadowrun and talking about (and have the time to =
keep up with this list) then don't let some people who make assumptions =
about you scare you away.

Yeah, I don't care for Mickey D's food either except for breakfast
and I'm rarely up in time for that.

If I run out of time I just start killing threads and hope I didn't
miss an interesting topic drift.

Few or Majority, that's what I'm wondering. I've considered
starting a Mickey Mouse rolecall to see who still reads my posts. I get a
feeling I could count them on both hands and possibly with ine to spare.

Definately over the .sig seperators and later in part in the follow
ups to the much suffered through force points debate. Years back I got
involved in a flame war in an APA that came out every two months. That
took over half a year to ever clarify that my initial comment was never
insulting. One of the members took it wrong and got mad, that in turn got
me mad. That was a life lesson. With the use of kill files it is now
possible never straighten up such a mess. <sigh>

It seems it ended more in a fast killfile decision. I can't compete
with that.

Speaking of topic drift ain't it amazing how far this one's gotten and =
managed to somehow still fit under the same thread name.

Wow you have 11 hands. :) Actially I think only a few people Killfiled you =
maybe 2 or 3 and there has got to be about 20 regular posters and who =
knows how many lurkers.

Sure you can just Reply to everything and change the name on your mailer =
this should sneak past most Killfiles. And besides there are others out =
here like Mike Broadwater (see I'm a newbie and I didn't forget the name) =
and myself who like a good argument for it's own sake, as long as it =
doesn't get personal.

Umm, nine? I meant one. This thread must be getting to me. I'd better
lie down now.

If it makes ya feel any better, MC, I still read your stuff (Sometimes...
There's a lot of threads that only get a cursory scan by me before getting
deleted...). Personally, i don't killfile people (mostly because until
recently, i didn't have a mailer capable of it:)), even though I may find
them annoying... I know that I've gotten killfiled a few times around here
(There might be one or two of the lurkers who have killfiled me because I
tend to post oddball stuff, and a few guys on S-Tk and Plot-D who have done
the same to me and a bunch of others:))

Anyways, I prefer not to get involved in arguments around here, cause they
inevitably lead to flame wars, and annoyed people... I prefer to stick
with friendly posts like Tickle Me Dunkies, and Woodchucks...:):):) I'll
leave the Grounding through Fab Phys-ads who think tehre better tha sammies
(on the next Oprah!) to all you "serious" posters... Rules tend to give me
a headache...:)

Good luck, MC, and just remember that occasionally, when you're trying to
convey sarcasm or humor, smilies work wonders. I think some of what you've
said early on was meant with humor, and it got mis-conveyed. the problem
is tehre's a few people who come on the list, and take things too
seriously, and since they don't joke, they don't know anyone else is
without some smileys...:(

Oh well... Enough babbling out of me...
