I'm going to take some time and use up a little bandwidth in my
never-ending search for a Shadowrun group in the Seattle area. Basically,
I have grown tired of not having a group... or getting the run-around from
a rude GM. The group I'm in search of starting/joining would have to be
a weekend thing and relatively low-power. To end, if anyone is out there
around Seattle that needs/has a group that I can be involved in or knows
of something like that, send me an e-mail.

Skye.

P.S. I'd like constructive criticism.

Are we going to have to see you complain everytime someone says "I'd like
some constructive criticism?" And since you hate the term so much, can we
tell you that we don't like your ideas because we think you're fucked in
the head? Is that ok with you?

No, I'm tired of it as well.

Now that is a quick generalization. I'd say you're being hasty to
take such a full stance against anything, not just me. <sigh> With the
over abundance of information especially in a situation like this group
it becomes too simple to just killfile someone from any one arguement.
Yes, it is ok with me and sad that people will take fast actions just for
convenience. Short attention span at it's worst.
People have read more hostility into my posts then were ever
intended, attacked my stance, and watched it erupt into a minor flame
war. I will stand by my convictions and defend them, but I don't care to
start a flame war. There is no point to it. Flame war often start
accidentally and take forever to recitify. Since nothing I say will
change your mind, I know this is wasted bandwidth.
I will say this again. It is too easy to get drawn into a flame war
and harder to pull oneself out. That is why I haven't decided how long I
will stick it out here because I have no idea how many people were all
too eager to killfile me or keep this pretence that everything I say must
be bad. That is more of a closed mind to me than any singular stance I
could ever take, The refusal to hear anyone.

Well, come down to Australia. We don't have a Bill of Rights. People here
do not have a right to free speech (no matter what everyone tells you,
it's not in the constitution, or any other form of law).

I haven't kill filed you, so settle down. I wanted you to see what
criticism of the unconstructive varity can be like. You hate it when
people ask for constructive criticism. That's fine. But that's you're
personal bitch and I don't want to hear about it. If that's what people
want, then that's what we should give them. And incredibly often on this
list, that's what they get. If you don't care what kind of response you
get, and seem to be so harsh on people who want help, not insults, then
don't ask, or expect, any help.

> People have read more hostility into my posts then were ever

It's how you say things. This is a text only forum. Inflections of voice
don't exist here. You must be careful in what you say and how you phrase
things.

You're right, you can't change my mind because you're totally wrong about
what I'm thinking. You've gotten to defensive because of your minor
arguements on here lately. I'm telling you to lay off people who want
help, not harsh words.

One last thing, don't think that you don't take things more harshly than
intended. The above post was sarcastic in nature, but you seem to think I
pulled out your soul and did the waltz on it. It's all what and how you
say things.

Hey, I'm just trying to show him the opposite side of the criticism coin.
I haven't seen MC23 post anything that I've felt like calling him an idiot
for, except this. And I probably won't (you'd be suprised how little I do
that nowadays).

Man, one post nailing a guy for bugging people about asking for
constructive criticism, and suddenly, I'm the bad guy again. Apparently,
the list doesn't believe in forgive and forget. Guess I'll just have to
change your collective mind.

Ancient cultures believed that names held great power, personal
names more so and they were guarded very closely. To protect themselves,
they answered to another name, because if another discovered their real
name, it could be used against them.
History repeats itself.

They seem to be at that just forget stage. You can't change
anybody's mind if they're not listening.

Too many old-timers still around... one thing you've got going for you is
that the newer listmembers won't remember your name :)

Mike, don't worry about it. I personally appreciate your honestly and
directness. Adds a lot of flavor and spice to the list that can get
lame at times.
