:->Addict To Me

:->Kick My Habit

Nice spells, I can think of a few 'unsavory applications', but
then I don't play a mage.

This reminds me of a couple of spells that our mage came up with an
designed... Forgive me if I don't get the details extact

Spell: Detect Feather
Drain: F/2L
Type: Detection
Range: Successes*Force*MagicRating M
Others: Don't Know
Effect: This exculsive spell picks up a specific type of feather. Its
useful when your mage is lost and trying to find the other members of
the team.

Spell: Tickle
Drain: F/2+2M
Type: Manipulation
Range: ?
Other: ?
Effect: Target makes Will Power test vs Force of spell, else suffers
+1 T# for each two successes made. Orthoskin counteracts at rating.

There was more details by these are just the ones that I remember

Its time for a new sig, when I think of one I'll append it.

nice idea, but it is not going to be popular. I also assume the
target will feel something when this is used ( which would give the
target those 20 turns to find and hose/ break in two, the caster).

fine, required if above is about.
now are those force ratings total or base force, or in other words
will a 1+2+2 kick habit get rid of a 'straight' force 5 addiction, i
assume so.

1+2+2 = force1 + expendable fetish + exclusive spell, for force 5.

LOL, Wonderfull, I'm going to use this one. And the fun part is:
a pain editor won't help because the sensory input is not pain >:>
Great spell, I was thinking of writing one myself for a special
player I know, but that won't be nessecary anymore :).
I would say range : LOS
effects: more than 4 successes and the targets starts laughing out
loud, begging the caster to stop :)

Well, probably. Too bad the real designer has already left, otherwise we
could ask her :)

Exactly. BTW, I think we forgot to add that you can also "kick the habit" in
the same way as with a normal addiction -- see Shadowtech.

Yep.

She's already done that, including a "Tickle Thousands" and a "Turbo
Tickle" :)

O, could you mail these to me please, unless off course you think that
these spells may be interesting for the other listmembers (highly
unlikely :)

You asked for it (I sent this one to the list, I thought others might like=

to see it anyway :) Blame FireFly for the spell design (well, and me for the=

game mechanics...)

Tickling Fingers
Think you don't need a spell to tickle your enemy? Well, think again! This=

magnificently brilliant spell (TickleMark) allows you to tickle your target=

into submission, distraction, or your typical garden variety madness…
Warning: this is not an illusion spell -- you're actually being tickled!
In game terms, add +1 to all the subject's target numbers for every success=

rolled on the Spell Success Test. The subject is allowed a Willpower
Resistance Test.
Type: Physical Range: Limited Target: 4 (R)
Duration: Sustained Drain: [(F/2)+2]S

Tickle Thousands
Like Tickling Fingers, only this time, it's an area-effect spell, so watch=

out for your team-mates!
Type: Physical Range: Limited Target: 4 (R)
Duration: Sustained Drain: [(F/2)+2]D

TurboTickle
Like Tickling Fingers, but much _much_ (MUCH) worse! You can actually tickle=

someone to death with this one…
Add +1 to all the subject's target numbers for every 2 successes rolled on=

the Spell Success Test, and the spell also causes a base Light wound. The
Power Level is equal to the Force of the spell +1 for every turn the spell=

is sustained, and no armor resists. (So if you cast it at Force 5, the
damage is 5L in the first turn, 6L in the second, 7L in the third, and so
on). This damage is taken every turn, and is resisted using Body.
(Satisfied, Damion? :) The subject is allowed a Willpower Resistance Test
against the spell to reduce the target number modifier.
Type: Physical Range: Limited Target: 4 (R)
Duration: Sustained Drain: [(F/2)+2]S

All the above are Manipulation spells. BTW, the Addict To Me and Kick My
Habit spells are Health spells (I forgot to say that, I think...)

OH MY! I went through some pretty bad tickle attacks when I was a little
kid (my aunt would pin me down for like 5 minutes, tickling me like crazy),=

but there was never any blood or guts flying from it! I think this spell
should cause STUN damage, not PHYSICAL damage.

Thanks, really great spells, can't wait to use them on my players :>

Why body? (a satisfied Damion or not :) Tickling is resisted by using
pure willpower (I should know that by now :). Body has nothing to do
with it (a trolls dermal plating might :). I once had a girlfriend
who was rather small and slim (body 2 or so) but she was immune to
tickling! On the other hand I'm kinda bigger (body 4 I think) and
am really tickle-bait :). Guess who won all the time? :) (She must
have had a WP of 5 or 6 whereas mines must be around 2 :)

Also the double test makes this spell rather complex. Why not a
WP-test and ad 1 to the targetnumber for every failed WP-test.
And the damage should indeed be stun-damage (possibly decreasing
drain, which makes it even better)
I know this started as a funny thing, but the spells are really
usefull :)

Dunno. It was around 1:30am when we were writing this, that might have had
something to do with it :)

That bit was added because I know how Damion reacted last time damaging
manipulations were brought up :)

OK, so I'll change it over to Willpower.

You're the one who got it all started, I think...

AAAARRRRGGGGGHHHH!!! Sustained Damaging Manipulations! <Runs Screaming from

lips to begin a huge debate of the possibilities of Sustained Damaging
Manipulations, and the appropriate mechanics for such spells should they

BTW, I though the Tickle spells were quite cool. Now all we need is a sneze
spell. A diarrhoea spell. A flatulance spell. A runny nose
spell. A hangover spell...

My Coyote shaman has a Fart spell: selectable at casting for noise, duration
and odour... :) (She is totally insane, though...)

Especially good for casting on someone just as they get into an elevator
and the doors close. Or for use on the gorgeous bitch who upstaged you as
you sashayed into Takuri's. As all eyes follow her... PHHRRRPP!!! Ooops...

I have yet to imagine any potential use that might help in a firefight
(no, it doesn't work as a Flamethrower spell if you light it!) but it
sure is a good way to get the occasional point of humour Karma.

As I suggested last time, make up the game mechanics while you design the
spell, and don't try to make a rule that covers all SDM spells :)

Make them, mail them to me, and watch them appear in a net.sourcebook coming
to you Real Soon Now (Though Maybe A Bit Later Than That :)
