My brother created a human character who was born to orks, and grew up in
Cascade Ork country. I think we read somewhere that ork children are
sometimes born human and goblinize as a part of puberty. (I'd look that up
again, but my brother currently has _all_ of my books)
As you can well imagine he had a hard life as a child, especially when
everyone realized that he wasn't going to get any bigger. Well Rudder (as
in runt, not "the ass end of a boat") has this antagonism towards any one
or anything bigger than he is. For instance, we were in the proces of
succesfully (as far as I was concerned) talking a wendigo to let us leave
him in peace, when Rudder sent an arrow through the creatures eye.
Fortunately the steel broadhead lodged itself in the back of the wendogo's
skull, and it died without hurting anyone in the party.
He is fairly well balanced now, but I'll let him tell you about his
homecomming after honing his skills and physical adept abilities.
