I'm far more upset with playing with the Shadowrun background than with the rules system. And I was at least getting the new main rule book to bookend my collection. I'm upset from what I'm hearing the difficulties on getting a LTD edition (I had no luck with my friend who went to GenCon). Of course it might only be worth getting the basic book from Amazon anyway (which I can do later on) but still.
And I do want to see the quickstart rules online that was talked about. Those pre-release F.A.Q.'s did nothing to explain what's really going on and made all of my fears and suspicions worse.
Ancient cultures believed that names held great power, personal names more so and they were guarded very closely. To protect themselves, they answered to another name, because if another discovered their real name, it could be used against them. History repeats itself. Welcome to the Digital Age. I am MC23
