If this is not shadowrun based or inspired,...I don't know what is.

It uses the Unreal Tournament Engine,....

Hurrah!

I wouldn;t really say *Shadowrun* inspired, but it does look like a cool
Cyberpunk genre game :] After all, there's none of the Tolkien that's
crucial to the "Gibson meets Tolkien" world of Shadowrun, eh? :]

The preview uses words like 'Street Samurai', 'Decker', 'ICE', etc...I would
say that either the game is SR inspired/based, or the writer of the article
is SR inspired.

Actually, those are all terms Shadowrun borrowed (And SR uses IC, not ICE :)).

Keep in mind Shadowrun heavily uses common Cyberpunk terms, and the article
cited Gibson as a major influence on the game :] If anything, I'd say the
game has more in common with CP 2020 than Shadowrun, sadly enough.

How precisely did you determine this?

That it uses the unreal engine? I think I read it on the developer's page
somewhere.

Apparently not precisely enough because I already heard another rumor that
it would use Monolith's Lith engine.

The link that was provided led to an article that was divided up into
two pages. The second page mentions the Unreal Tournament Engine, as
well as most of the "SR" terms.
