Ok here's a question for you guys...

I just jumped onto the PDF bandwagon (hey, 23 bucks for 5 copies of the core
book? great! AND the character dossier? Perfect).

As my topic states, when 4th ed comes down, will it be an update and
there-by free through DriveThrough or will I have to repurchase the
download?

Given that (from what I'm told) it's a whole new book, with entirely
rewritten rules, new art (let's hope it doesn't break the "improving"
trend SR art has been on lately), and a time jump of 5 years after
events so massively world-changing the setting probably requires a full
rewrite as well...
I think you'll probably have to repurchase it -- as soon as the PDF is
released, that is.

Well that just.... FRAG!

At least we can now play 3rd ed without bringing a horendous amount of books
weighting down my bag and taking up much needed video game console and
clothing space.

(Living on a ship... limited storage area... ya'll know me by now, right
chummers? ;)
