I'm actually suprised no one has mentioned this before. On page 50 of FASA'S
new catalouge( the shadowrun catalog ) it mentions the forthcoming Mech
Commander game. About half way down this ad is an advertisement for two
other upcoming game; Battletech, and Shadowrun: Assassin. Has everyone
overlooked this tidbit or have people decided not to comment on it? The only
thong the ad says is that it should be out this summer. Does anyone have any
other info?

I believe it's closer to a Christmas time release.. at least that's what
FASA was saying at last years Gencon.

As for it not being talked about, I think most people are just more
concerned about the RPG, at least until the release date for Shadowrun:
Assassin comes closer. FASA has been extremely closed mouth about it,
which means most people have absolutely not clue even what type of game it
is..

Ah Ah! Welcome to the wonderful world of FASA insiders... Some know, but
they ain't telling...don't worry, I tried everything short of torture...

<shoots Bull in the back, kicks Adam in the head>

There... But, as you may know, rumormills are not a good thing when it
comes to games in general. People get worked up, spread half-truths and
lies, and when the game finally comes out, some are disappointed.

So... 1) Yes, there is a game called Shadowrun: Assasin in the works
(Probably FASA Interactive), 2) Some people know more, but aren't telling
(and that's good, unless they don't want FASA to trust them no more) and
3) I'm DEFINITLY buying a copy the day it comes out

FASA Announced that they were working on one at Gen Con last August, though

It is FASA Interactive, headed up by one of the original SR Creators, Tom

www.fasainteractive.com, but it was put on hold indefinitely (might even
have been cancelled) after Microsoft acquired FASA Interactive.

Didn't they drop the concept after a few months of development?

That's what one of Mulvihill's Shadowtalks said, I believe.

Try http://www.shadowrun.com/ It has all the relevant information on the
topic in a convenient one-page layout.

Is there anything actually on this page? All I get is the Shadowrun "S",
which is nothing but a self-referential link to
"http://www.shadowrun.com/index.html"; and therefore goes nowhere.
