Hoi chummers!

We are a group of people who are playing shadowrun down in
Uruguay (South America). Till now we've had great fun, but it has
proben quite dificult on FASA sourcebooks. Now we are able to
mail-order some book form USA.

However we don't have a fraggin' idea of which books would
be fun or necessary to get. We already have: SSC 2, SH2, RBB, Tir
T, the Grimmy, SHBeat & Sprawl Sites and the modules: Double Exp. &
Eye Witness.

Which would be next in your opinion?

Greets!

Pedro.

By SH2, I am assuming you mean Shadowrun Hardcover 2nd edition.

>Which would be next in your opinion?

In order of importance:
ShadowTech
Virtual Realities 2.0 (assuming you use decking in your campaigns)
Fields of Fire
Cybertechnology

Those were a must. I would also suggest:
Seattle Sourcebook (pretty good read, description of the seattle
districts and associated politics along with security codes
for neibhorhoods and some local color (read: gangs & crime syndicates)
Corperate Security handbook

For modules in order of importance:
Harlequin (This is the mother of all Modules!)
Harlequin's Back (haven't actually finished it yet, but it is a good
follower for veterns of the first one. You may want to get a review
of this because it could be something you would really like or hate)

Dark Angel (Don't know why, but this module really worked out well.)
Paradise Lost (Really cool for the runners used to the Gloom of Seattle).
Queen Euphoria (This is pretty cool, especially if the last scene doesn't
include magicians. Ever see the movie Aliens? :> )

These are the best ones that come to mind. Here is a word about some others:
Demon Bottle (Not a good module except for beginning players and GM's)
Dragon Hunt (An NPC returns from Demon Bottle. Not that good a module
except for a scene that happened...well, I'll explain later :)
Killing Glare (Mediocre -- more combat than usual)

That all I can think of, I hope this helps.

About that scene from Dragon Hunt. You might want to stop reading if you
are player....I mean it.... Ok, in the last part with the assualt on the
hospital, the Kernal was using a Vindicator (a long story by itself).
They were pinned in a halway by a bunch of Knight Errants. So the Kernal
hopped on a hospital gurney and had Billy push him down the hallway with
the Kernals vindicator firing off. He rolled so good against the KE guards
that they all got ripped up. It was pretty hilarious if you picture it in
your head. :)

What is SH2? (Shadowrun Second Edition?) Let's see...
Shadowtech would be good for new cyber and bioware;
Corporate Security Handbook is nice although not required if you
have a bit of common sense;
Virtual Realities 2.0 is a must if you want to have deckers in your game
at all;
Cybertech if you want new cyberware and rules for it;
Lone Star I would recommend in order to make your players fear the cops a
bit more :)

Welcome! I'm fairly certain that you're the first subscriber from
Uruguary in the entire history of this list.

Depends on what y'all enjoy doing. Based on your geography, you
might want to pick up the new-ish Aztechnology sourcebook; that describes
Aztlan and what's going on in there, kinda north of you.
Another good one is Virtual Realities II, which just came out
last week; we've been talking about it quite a bit here on the list.

If you need the name of a good game place that could do mail order
for you, contact me privately and I'll put you in touch with their online
representative. The company isn't doing much mail order yet, but I'm sure
they'd be glad to help you out.

Here are some of my favourites:

Sourcebooks:
------------
Fields of Fire; The merc's handbook - guns, guns, guns and optional
rules. Background stuff for running a merc campaign

Cybertechnology; Some cool cyberstuff (no bioware, though :( ), rules and
expansion for some of the old cyberstuff. Rules for
creating character with essence below 0 (YES!! i love Cyborgs)

ShadowTech; Bioware and lots of it. Bioware does not count towards
essence, so it's a sam's dream come true

Modules:
--------
Harlequin; A book with 8 mini-adventures that are linked into a greater
plotline, involving a rivalry between two ancient elven mages

Queen Euphoria; Involving a beautiful simsense star and Insect spirits
(don't forget your insta-kill insect spray)

Good luck!
