I think your sig made an important point - I think The Crow is a great
film with regard to Shadowrun. Okay, so its a bit low-tech, but for a
down-and-dirty campaign, with a decent amount of magic thrown in, it is
fine!

There's interesting one called Circutry Man, it's been a while sense
I've seen that movie, though.

So long as we're talking about Cyberpunkish anime, also check out
Riding Bean (stupid name but great movie -- set in Chicago!) and The
Professional, also known as Golgo 13 (based on the hard-to-find Golgo 13
series of art books.)
If anybody in the U.S. wants to buy Riding Bean direct from the
U.S. distributor, EMail me and I'll see if I can dig up the catalog (it
ain't cheap.)

The Aliens films are very good for getting the correct mood going
for insect spirits. especially Aliens.

The pop out of nowhere
the kill you quickly
their hard to kill

Also try - Split Second with Rutger Howard

"big guns. Big Guns. We've got to have BIG FUCKING GUNS!!!"

"Grenade Laucher"

"Not big enough"

"Assualt Shotgun, it shoots 600 rpm"

"We'll take TWO."

Along a similar line of thought, check out the following anime...
Bubblegum Crisis (a classic. Priss and the Replicants
rule...)
Battle Angel Alita (Gunnm) (great ideas for the
secondhand body-part market...)
Cyber-City OEDO 808 (just plain awesome...)
City Hunter (great for ambience, setting and PI/bounty
hunter type plot stuff. Check out both
the movie and the series.)
Silent Mobius I and II (magic-police fighting demons in
near-future Tokyo, pretty bizarre but
very cool)
PatLabor (again for setting, plot ideas, and ambience)
Appleseed (Deunan is one mean cop...)
AD Police Files (definitely hard-core violence and mayhem)

I know there are probably more, but I can't think of any right
off hand. Seriously, if you want cyberpunk genre entertainment, anime is
the way to go.

Ugh!

It's Rutger Hauer.

And, aside from a few good one-liners, it sucked big-time.

Nightfox> "big guns. Big Guns. We've got to have BIG FUCKING GUNS!!!"

No, it's...

``Bigger guns. We need fucking bigger guns!''
