It's already here!
Bwahahahahahahaaaaa!
-------------------H'S BACK SEMI-SPOILER---------------------------
But seriously folks, if your a GM, if you've read anything into all
those "we know something you don't" type comments that FASA love
to make; Bottled Demon, Ivy And Chrome, and of course the big
horror thing in the back of H's Bakc, you know that the Dark
Conspiracy is just another name for the Horrors.
That alleged flying saucer incident in the 1940's, where the
bugs (sorry, my DC salng for hostile, non-humans was always
bugs, sahdes of alienes there), were first discovered. That weas the
first successful summoning of a Horror to our world.
Bugs with empathic powers, the magic is strong with the horrors,
their powers are all magic-based (apoligies to the ED types, I
haven't actually read much of it, I say this from a SR/DC POV).
They have had 100 years to get their servants in place, witness
the rise of aztechnology, etc. Perhaps only the weakest of bugs
has gotten through yet, but they're here, and they're preapring
for when the magic becomes high enough for a gate to become
openable from this side. It's much easier to cross the gap with
assistance.
You don't need to bring in DC or CofC, it's all already here!
The terminology may change, from Pale to Star Vampire, but they're
still horrors. Has anyone read the new Striper book yet? Those
critters might be called suervants of the unpronouncable, summoned
from the book of squiggle, but they're vampires/horrors.
I loved Dark Conspiracy, and thought it was a great pity that
the TSR law-suit caused it to be dropped, as sson as bug city is
dealt with (!), my PC's are going to find that the conspiracy
is after them, and the PC's will be minion hunters.
