Hi all,

Just a note that SR4 is available for pre-order through BattleCorps:

I'd buy a limited edition straight away, but seeing as the only
shipping options are USPS (and bloody expensive ones at that), I'm
not sure they ship to France... Do they?

Just placed my pre-order - actually had an excellent rate to Canada.
The USPS does ship to France. Hopefully the book will be small enough to
ship via "letter mail"; otherwise the rates go through the roof for any kind
of reasonable delivery. The last time I shipped a book to France, I was just
able to squeek in under the weight limit (~5 lbs if memory serves). The
difference in the price was ~$20 vs ~$50...

Unfortunately you will have vat, tax and customs duty added on top, at least
if you are unlucky enough.

I once bought Lone Star on eBay for $8. Had to pay an additional $5 for
shipping to Denmark. At the time Lone Star was sold out in Denmark, and in
any case it was DKK 180 (=$25).

The customs stopped it. Looked at the value put on the certificate ($13,
value plus shipping), added the shipping once again ($5), converted it to
Danish Kroner (x7.20 = DKK ), added the customs handling fee (DKK 50 = DKK
179.60) and charged custom duty (3.5% = DKK 6.29 = 185.89) and vat (25% =
DKK 46.47 ), for a total of DKK 232.36 (= $32.27).

I complained but was refused, since all they did was follow the EU rules.

Since then I have never bought a book directly from outside EU.
